Our pies are made by students, low income adults with barriers to employment who participate in a job training program. Our students focus on culinary and baking skills as well as financial literacy skills.

To enter our program, you must be at least 18 years old, at or below 150% of the poverty level, and have at least one barrier to employment (a criminal history, a history of homelessness, a disability, a limited education, etc). You must be able to make a four to six month commitment, as well as a 5 hour weekly commitment. The program is on Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., located in the kitchen of the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH). The ARCH is located at 500 east 7th st. For an application to be a student in the job training program click here.
